Cold-Pressed Mint Lemonade Without Heating

Cold-Pressed Mint Lemonade Without Heating: Simple & Fresh

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves, washed and stems removed

  • Juice of 3-4 fresh lemons (about 1 cup)

  • 3-4 tablespoons sugar or jaggery (adjust to taste)

  • 3 cups cold filtered water (adjust for taste and thickness)

  • Ice cubes (optional)

  • Lemon slices and fresh mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Fresh Ingredients:
Wash the mint leaves well and remove tough stems. Freshly juice lemons and strain seeds for smooth juice.

  2. Grind Mint Leaves:
In a blender or food processor, add the fresh mint leaves with about half a cup of the cold water. Blend until the mint is finely ground and the water turns green.

  3. Mix Lemon Juice and Sweetener:
Add lemon juice and sugar or jaggery to the mint puree. Blend again briefly just to mix.

  4. Add Remaining Water:
Pour in the remaining water and pulse the blender a couple of times to mix well but keep it fresh and not too frothy.

  5. Strain (Optional):
For a smoother drink, pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove mint pulp. This step is optional depending on preferred texture.

  6. Serve Over Ice:
Serve the mint lemonade chilled over ice cubes with a garnish of lemon slices and mint sprigs.
